Pump Trolley Comedy Presents - Genuine Flavour of Robot Chicken

I'd like to begin this review with complete total transparency. I did not like this show. However, that is not to say it wasn't good.

Pump Trolley Comedy Presents is a collection of 12 skits created and performed by eight writers/actors. Skit topics included old West gambling, increasingly arrogant flowers, techie Purgatory, learning the alphabet and many more! I found that they relied heavily on awkward situational humor, uncomfortable topics that you laugh at because you're not sure what else to do, and generally juvenile tactics. And while I was making all of these judgements I realized that I was the only person not laughing.

This got me to thinking, and then I realized why I wasn't enjoying the show. Pump Trolley Comedy Presents has a genuine flavour of TV shows like Robot Chicken and Family Guy. I just don't like those kinds of shows. But a lot of other people do.

That all being said, if Robot Chicken is a favorite of yours, I think you will really enjoy this show, the rest of the audience certainly seemed to be. The acting was good, there are some gems in there and the performers seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Despite my particular bias they still has me laughing a few times, and appreciating the show.
