Bursting into Flames - Masterful Storytelling

Genre Definition = Funny · Intense

I must preface this review to say that I am a huge Martin Dockery fan and as far as I am concerned he could read the phone book and I would listen.  Dockery is a master when it comes to storytelling. His ability to engage the audience and take them on a journey through the ebb and flow of a story is spellbinding.

This year he brings a new tale and this time it is not a personal experience or at least not one that has happened yet, but rather an accounting of his time in Heaven. Although Dockery protests that no superlative will ever truly describe how good it gets in Heaven, he spends the next hour weaving a picture so oozing with words and gestures that superlatives aren't needed. By placing his latest work in an out of this world scenario, Dockery sets the stage to push the boundaries of his elastic kinetic physicality and his vivid imagery.

With all of Dockery's tales there is a lesson to be learned and with this one it is how not to burst into flames. This is the show not to miss.
