Tired Wave Stop!

There were not many people in the audience at the Friday show I went to. Which means that a few people missed out that night on the funny and sweet performance by Steve Boleantu.

Tired Wave Stop takes place almost entirely on a ship called The White Dove. At first, I couldn't see where Boleantu was steering this play, and was a little concerned that it wasn't really headed anywhere. I was wrong. Soon the play grabs your attention with relatability and funny internal debates vocalized by The Captain in discussions with The White Dove, who is a very understanding boat.

Boleantu is charming and fills the room while preforming. The play didn't feel scripted, which is a nice change. Tired Wave Stop uniquely deals with how the needs of people differ depending on who they are, the responsibilities to others that arise throughout a life, and the deep need for freedom.
