Moving Along: compelling tangents

Chris Craddock is moving along

So, I’m at this play and there’s this guy sitting in a chair with flashing lights that might just be an electric chair. Or a time machine. Turns out, it’s a little of both. Moving along!

In Moving Along, one-man show performer Chris Craddock expertly weaves together wrenchingly personal anecdotes and amusing asides into a very entertaining piece. Anyway, moving along…

It’s funny. And poignant. You listen and think, “this is getting really interesting”. And just as he brings that segment to a close, without missing a beat, he goes off on an equally compelling tangent.

Moving along.

The lights. Right. The Electro Chair has dimmers and switches. This is genius. Chris turns the lights on and off, bright and dim, all off, all on, in perfect timing with his script. It’s an intuitive thing. He’s got a system. And it works really, really well to complement rapid-fire, manic delivery. Hmmmmm… moving along.

Excellent performance. Go see it, before this show moves along.

Moving Along is part of this year's Fringe Festival. For more information go here.
