Ruth would kill for a family. Marion wants to find her true yogic nature. And Karma, well, she’d settle for a bit of sanity. What do an Appalachian midwife, a 1960s homemaker and a slowly unraveling film producer have in common? Nothing. Oh, and everything. * * * * * "Superbly performed. Great performance !

The house was packed, even though it was a sunny sunday afternoon. After seeing 15 fringe shows (all extremeley talented and 13 of them were either good or great, only 2 were so bad, i walked out of, i chose this show as my last fringe show to see. I am glad i did. This women is very talented. The show is made up of three monologues. Three are three seperate characters, one after the other, living their lives in all three different eras. She ties them all together very nicely at the end. I would say, go see this show, but today was the last show.

Great!

What a great show. A one woman show that encompasses both comedy & drama. Heartfelt, touching, wonderful.

I have to disagree with an earlier poster who said that he felt that the second two characters were drawn out – this is one of the few fringe shows I have been to where I didn’t feel the need to check the time and see how much was left. Candy does a great job with the three characters.

While I do feel the script could use a bit of tightening, I don’t feel that by any means it’s not worth your $10 (or more for that matter.) I really felt as though this piece was above and beyond much of the fringe fare.

Hopefully this will not be the last Vancouver fringe for this company.

My only disappointment was the small house that was there to receive the show. Go see it. You will be glad you did.

I really enjoyed this

I really enjoyed this performance, of 3 women’s experiences specific to their times in history, with a tying of all 3 together in the end. The last 2 characters were drawn out a bit; there’s truisms expressed that could have been omitted. Still, it’s recommended.

Great show

This was my first fringe show…and I must say..I loved it!
An impressive sliver of three different eras and three very different lives….
This performance has moments that are very serious, but glimmers of hope and humour are mixed into it to make it very enjoyable. The transformation between the eras is great! I give it 4.5 Planks (Out of 5).

afterlife

don’t miss this impressive solo performance! it’s both touching and amusing, and very well done. highly recommended.
